It was 1pm in the afternoon and we could hardly walk and no, we’ve not done an extra long walk in flip-flops, but what we’ve both had is a sports massage at the Beyond Wrapture spa!

When we woke up this morning we made sure we did a stretching yoga session to put us in good stead for the massage ahead. We went for a quick walk to the Bean Scene cafe, had our usual cappuccino and returned for breakfast. Tara picked us up and by 11am we were at the Beyond Wrapture Day Spa for our ‘Rest & Relaxation’ (R&R) therapy, happily ensconced in our robes and slippers ready for the relaxing treatment for Myrna and Tara and torture treatment us, M&A. Myrna had opted for the purifying 75 minute facial, Tara had opted for the 1 hour exfoliating sea salt and loofah glow massage and we had both opted for the 45 minute sports massage, you know to try and knock out all the knots and aches and pains we’ve been suffering recently, mainly in our backs. Because we were having the same treatment we were put in the same room and were unfortunate enough to be able to hear each other’s moans and groans whilst being inflicted with the physical torture our bodies were experiencing. Omg, it was tough going. We most definitely needed some R&R therapy after our treatment which came in the form of a well deserved cocktail in the hotel bar next door.

Next on the schedule was lunch at Milestones, where we could expect a ‘refined dining experience’. Unfortunately it didn’t quite live up to its expectations, but not to worry, we were fed and watered and ready for the next item on the schedule, shoes for Myrna, so after a very slow service of not the most appetising of lunches we headed off to the Orchard Mall in search of shoe shops.

Whilst we were in the Mall Maice and I took the opportunity to go back to the Sunglass Hut and purchase the sunglasses from the maybe list Maice had seen a few days before. Of course we got ourselves completely lost trying to find the store in the Mall as there are no big sign boards with ‘you are here’, the Sunglass Hut is ‘over there’. No, we had to traverse the whole of the Mall once again and after stopping in a few clothing stores on the way round and having purchased a few ‘items’ we actually found it! Admittedly, we did have to ask the way. Sunglasses purchased, we then had to find our way back to where we’d left Myrna and Tara which again was another ordeal of where in this Mall is the shoe store, however when we found them we ended up purchasing more clothing and finally shoes for Myrna. Hurrah, our shopping was done. Before we got home though we did stop off at the Liquor store to replenish the bottles in Myrna’s liquor chest before Tara dropped us back home.

We sat outside for a while making the most of the early evening temperature and ambience until Tara called it a day and set off for home. We on the other hand decided a small snacklet of toast and crackers was in order before we played another riveting game of Sequence.

For a non walking kinda day we walked 11,200 steps, probably we imagine because we were trying to find the Sunglass Hut amongst other things.  It’s certainly been a long day, a day of no proper walking as such, but a day where we continued to wear our flippy-flops. We were most certainly looking forward to our beds which can you believe this, we retired to at 8.30pm!  Yes we know, 8.30pm, it’s totally unheard of………!

On that note, it’s goodnight from her, and it’s goodnight from me!
