We were late getting up this morning due to Maice not being able to sleep from 3am onwards and resorted to reading her kindle until we surfaced from our blow-up beds at 7.30am. I’d like to say we hopped out of bed but we didn’t, we sort of very slowly eased ourselves out of our beds which, note to selves, need more air pumped into them!

The creatures of habit that we appear to be, we did our yoga and set off for our walk. This morning we walked down to Downton Kelowna, with its waterfront and cultural district where the town is preparing for the Country Festival. It was a glorious day, the sky was blue and it was warm. We enjoyed our morning cappuccinos at Frannie’s Coffee Shop opposite the Art Gallery and watched the world go by before heading off around the corner to the The Grand Delta Hotel, a rather lovely hotel on the waterfront. Apparently they have an art gallery with an exhibition of Dr Seuss art work. Unfortunately it was closed but looking throught the window the artwork we could see looked quite interesting so we’ll definitely have to go back.

Of note, as we were walking up to the entrance of the hotel, what can only be described as a very grey, strange shaped armoured vehicle drove up. It looked like a military personnel or dignitary was inside, but no, this young guy gets out and being nosy we asked him what type of car it was. Apparently it’s a Tesla CyberTruck, not the most attractive as trucks go. We were very cheeky and asked if we could take a photo and he said yes or course, have a look inside if you want, so we did!  Our verdict……we’ve seen better!

Continuing our walk we popped into the Beyond Wrapture Day Spa and booked some treatments for Myrna, Tara and the two of us for this coming Friday hoping that our treatments will relieve us of all our aches and pains.

Back home we enjoyed a late breakfast then went shopping, not for us I might add, no it’s Myrna’s shopping day today, we’re just going along as her personal shoppers.  No kidding, we must have been in Myrna’s favourite shop for at least a couple of hours with her trying on numerous clothes that Maice kept finding for her to try on. Other ladies were trying on at the same time and when they emerged from their dressing rooms we of course couldn’t help but give our advice. Honestly, we must have increased the sales figures for the shop on that day. Funnily enough the ladies actually thought we worked there and were asking us if they had other sizes, other colours etc. So there we are, our new vocation in life is now M&A Personal Shoppers!! Talking of which, when we popped over to Costco to check out their cheap and cheerful clothing Maice was befriended by a member of staff who acted as Maice’s personal shopper……how amusing! You see, what goes around comes around!

All shopped out we had an invite from Tara to go over to her place for drinks so off we went and met up with the rest of the family. It was so relaxing sat on her terrace in the rockers, glass of prosecco/wine in hand, chatting and enjoying the countryside. Ah, it can’t get any better than this…..

We came home, heated up some soup, made some egg sandwiches and retired to the sofa where we spent the next five minutes before callling it a day and went to our beds at 9pm. We were tired, very tired!

Here’s our little musing for the day….’We just rescued some some wine…..…it was trapped in a bottle!’

And on that note, its night all…x
